The 1920's was known as the "Jazz Age" or the "Roaring Twenties". The 1920's were a big break through in the entertainment history. Cities were busy while the farms grew vacant, and celebrations towered over conflicts. With the post economic spike after World War 1 many people had cash to blow on what ever they desired. In the end Americans invested their money on entertainment.Entertainment was portrayed in several ways, for example there was music, radio, movies and and countless numbers of different industries. This is also the point in time where the Harlem Renaissance began. People danced until they dropped, and one person actually fell to the floor and died! The radio became popular, and tuned in every singe day. The T.V. was not yet invented so the radio was on of the best things around in the 1920's. Most of the people that listened to was Jazz, mainly by Louis Armstrong. Movies were also a big hit. The 1920's was a decade that marked the start of the sound movies. The first radio brodcast come out in Novemeber of 1920. The first Miss America contest was held on September 8, 1921. Mickey Muse became everyone's favorite cartoon character was SteamBoat Willie.
